A new Birthday / On Zodiacs and Horoscopes

Leading up to this Morning - there was something talking to me, suggesting a really Big Birthday Present. I would assume that it's God/the Spirit - but then again, the Chap hasn't been ... well. I mean, I haven't been ... on the up and up, knowing this from that.

But from receiving the Shield, up until today, it has been kind of a theme. And I also kept wondering ... like, whether I have an ACTUAL birthday, so, like, one that God would recognize ABOVE whatever the Birthday of my contemporary lifetime would be. Or maybe it even is my ACTUAL Birthday. But so it is ... the 27th of June. Which at least marks some kind of rebirth. Apart from that of Baptism. And so it is, I'm a Cancer now. Only question left is whether I'm still a Pig, or maybe a Rat. Or should I just go with Horse?

I mean, some people swear by those things. I've ... had a friendship shatter over it. I mean, she was like Super into it and I was like super "Uhm ..." about it ... and I don't know. To be real, I never "questioned" my Character Profile ... and I understood that whether I would accept it or not kind of comes down to ... "how much power I want to give it". Like, I read Sagittarius, I check all the boxes ... "Most Awesome Zodiac Ever!" ... and then I read something else and I'm like "ugh". But if I wanted to, or had to, I could very well ... find myself in there too. As is with Cancer. I read it, I'm like, "Oh yea, that's nice!" - and then I read Sagittarius again and notice that ... yea, I'm not that much in the mood for travelling. Except when I am.

But then, even before ... I felt like conflicted about "my Element". Not that I knew or gave any two flying fucks and a whoopie cushion about what the Element of my Zodiac was ... but ... something somehow, stirring within me ... knew or understood that something was ... going on. Or off. Or ... mysterious in some other way.

And then there's the Chinese Elements. But, they are weird. Just ... really. Metal and Wood? Nah! Although, I would certainly be more inclined to trust I Ging than any western Horoscope. But then again ... maybe not. I have the Witch Tarot, which could be considered western, ... which is made through inspiration combined with (a boolean (1:3 true (Spades versus the other three))) Oracle.

But so, that's a different story. But yea, when it comes to Horoscopes/Fortune Telling - this is as good as it gets I would say.

But ouch ... so many itches and scrathes. But anyway. When it comes to Horoscopes or Character Profiles based on Zodiacs, I have to wonder what that would mean for the immortal self. I mean, Tolkien was Born in the Sign of Capricorn ... and sure, I can see it. I might say, I'm somewhat of a Capricorn myself. Earth ... is also reasonable for me, though I guess at this point I'm more of a Water type.

So, I can entertain it at least. That it would take time for my new Zodiac to "wash over" the old one.

But then there's also that element of caution that needs to be introduced. I mean, there's the issue when it comes to boundaries that get drawn when being a strict believer in these things. "I'm a this, You're a that, therefore incompatible". I've had one or two situations where the Zodiac was introduced as a roadblock or "hard fact". Not sure what the situation was.

But sure. There are aspects to this world that just are beyond what we might physically be able to measure. And that's the ultimate weakness of the sciences. As ... any statistical "evidence" would have to be regarded as a bias introduced through the knowledge of and adherance to those signs.

But so was the word 'confluence' awakened to me this morning. So, when it comes to the Matrix Phenomenon I'd speak of convergence; Though confluence might work also. It means roughly the same, convergence works better, and outside of that I didn't have much reasons to think of 'confluence'. But this is a totally different thing; And confluence ... is certainly a good way, I find, to start speaking of this kind of Mysticism.

As so, the things we think of, the things we believe, what we make of our Character and all, it is all irrelevant until there's "confluence", let's start with that. It is not "mere convergence", as when two people meet and have a great time together, but a more intimate coming together in which the otherwise immaterial aspects at play bring forth something new. We might think of it as ... actions we think of taking versus actions we end up taking.

In the extended sense we can also speak of the "webbing of time" - the mysteries of the Butterfly effect or the question to which extent one might alter the future. The issue of how much the accidents that have shaped our past were mere convergences of chaos, or confluences of destiny.

Going even further, giving more benefit of the doubt to the validity of "destiny", the question of altering the future would be steeped in understanding what makes and breaks these confluences. And alternate timelines would then not so much exist based on every possible outcome to a situation, but the odds and solidities of them. It would then not be enough to only change and event, but to possibly shield it from other confluences that might yet occur. And oddly enough, that's kind of where I find myself ... regarding my life. In a prison of confluence, we might say.

It is here not strictly relevant to believe in Horoscopes or Zodiac Signs of any such thing. The simple idea of what is and what might be ... is enough. If I'm never in a position to develop meaningful relationships that could evolve into something more than mere convergence - I'm bound to stay within my own sphere of confluences.

On the other hand - the matter of Fortune Telling, or the attempt to make a science ouf of the mysteries of the sea of time ahead of us - would also be a matter of taking influence over what is bound to happen when left to fate.
