Ouch!!! | The Gospel in Ori

Well, I'm feeling better now; But it would seem that my actions this morning have caused a series of events which has led to loss in strength and the feeling of a glass shard driven through my heart. Or into the flesh surrounding it.

I assume that this is the kind of event that should move someone to reconsider their past choices; And as for the stress and the effect it has on the system I certainly don't feel like I could put up much of a fight. On the other hand however I was recently watching Episode 5 of Stargate SG 1 Season 9, "The Powers that Be", and in it there's a conversation between Daniel Jackson and a Prior of the Ori. Having myself been rather Christian at the time I first saw this season, I did in fact struggle with the ideas and concepts put forth; And given from how Young and/or Naive I was at the time, I didn't have much in terms of 'meat' to really engage with the deeper issues. I found myself agreeing with Dr. Jackson and co., certainly, though in a way I felt like I should see my side as with the Ori.

Not because of their Ideological Agenda, but ... I don't know. Subl... how is 'Sublime' a word for something grandiose, but subliminal a word for something under the radar? "What are You doing?!". There are a bunch of these words that just confuse the shit out of me. It's almost as if English was designed to fuck with Your head.

But yes, subliminal. And maybe subconsciously I understood more.

Anyhow. The conversation starts around 19 minutes into the episode. And when You see it as both arguing for the same thing, rather than both arguing different sides, it makes PERFECT sense to me. I mean, OK - rewatching it, I suppose perfect is a relative term here ... but sure enough. Then the Prior touches the Peasant's head and that's it.

Coming back to this with a more matured mind, or a certain perspective - not to necessarily put a qualifier on it, hits differently. For here I am, in full force of my ego, ready for war. Well, I'm currently actually on Episode 15, which I would generously name "Questionable Decisions" (certainly makes more sense than 'Ethon') - though I must say that it makes me feel strange uttering such words. ... yadee yada, You know the drill.

But so, can I really continue here - writing of my heart's content - speaking of 'them' as of "things" that merely exist as mentions in an ancient book?

Aren't they just human? Wouldn't some of You even go as far as to call at least some of them your Friends?

Oh well. Back in the day I would have asked You to abandon them. In simplest terms. While in simplest terms I stepped away from my so called Friends ... well, because something made me feel uneasy. Maybe I was also starting to be unwelcome. Maybe I saw the signs, maybe not - at any rate I figured I had better things to do but to be stuck on bad influences. So it would only be logical for me to "ask" the same of You. Maybe it was a transgression to do so; Maybe there would have been another way. Yet what I 'saw' suggested that they're distracting You. Pulling You away from whatever truth You might find. And so the issue cancels out. If You were to put Your mind onto the truth, You would automatically withdraw Yourself. Else You'd continue to be distracted and not be given much of a clue about it.

Oh seek Ye the Truth then! As it reads in Mark 12:30 "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength".

For thus it is written - I've gotten Kind of Rusty on my Bible Verses. I was trying to find it in Matthew - and scanning the Sermont of the Mount had the usual effect on me. "Ugh, Bible Thumping".
Mark is probably the best one. And though I haven't read it in like ages, I would splice the Apokyphon of Peter into it. I just ... remember. I mean, I have a binder dedicated to assembling a Diatessaron. But I haven't come back to that in ages either.

But so I wasn't asking You to abandon Your fellow human. And yet, to avoid Eshem and her Servants is "as good an advice as any"- as it says. But well, I'd put it in A Tier. S is reserved for the prolonging of wisdom.

To escape the bad influences, to avoid those who besmirch Your eyes with deceit and lace Your ears with honey.

For not what enters the Mouth defiles man - as it states in Matthew 15:10+11 and Mark 7:15 - but what comes from it. And so, how can You distinguish wisdom from foolishness if You have not endeavored to attain Wisdom in Truth Yourself?
Is that a Trick Question? Oh, how would one find Wisdom? Isn't it as a grain of sand, lost in the wide ocean?
Or is it more like salt ... lost in the wide ocean?
It would depend on how You see it. But there is only one true God - and HE is very well as the saltiness of the Ocean. Going be the Metaphor put forward here.
"By their Fruits shall Ye recognize them" (Matthew 7:16, Luke 6:43+44) - and so what do You find of me? Is my fruit so vile, that You should count me unto the fools? Would I not always, first and foremost, try to guide You to the Light? The Tree of Life itself? "Lithargoel - the Precious Stone". Subliminally Sublime.

Sure one might go, pick a fruit from the ground and point to its impurities. But "come on!".

Or would ye speak of Forgiveness; Tenderness, Benevolence, ... "the Power of Friendship". For is it not true, that the Powers of Friendship betrayed me? That they therefore are, or must be, as an enemy to me? And in deed. Friendship is a deceitful Fruit I say - or as it says: "Fear them who might damn Your Soul and Body into Hell" (Matthew 10:10/DMX - Angel). For what distinguishes a True from a False friend? How might Ye know of the truth that lies beyond the smiles cast into Your faces?
And who might now want to tie You to the bonds of Friendship, versus the Light of the Most High, if not someone who walks in the shadows of the Truth?
But if I were such a good person, would I not have Friends? Don't I?

Who is it then, that ignites a Scornful eye in someone; A Fire that cannot see beyond the surface of one's skin?

I have let go of my Zealotry when it comes to communing with other people. I would leave that work be separate. They once called me Jesus, repeatedly despite my asking them not to. Another one got upset as I kept bringing up faith; And yet he was of the better people I came to know. Another one, a complicated fella, laughed at me. And it was not until I stopped fronting with my Faith, that I came to understand people that came from a different background.
How would I now instill the word in them?
I certainly would try - as whenever the occasion arose, I would speak freely of my faith; Though cautiously trying not to overburden them. And if I would not see true faith emerge, what reason would I have to take it beyond the friendly banter between different worldviews?

Friendship? I know Friendship!

But what now of those that teach You to see Your Friend as an enemy, and Your enemy as a Friend? Truly it is written that we shall Love our enemies. But Friendship? And truly there may be wisdom in abandoning Your friends in pursuit of an enemy, as to bring about reconciliation that might not otherwise occur. But it is not my bout to teach You of the intricacies of human behavior, nor how to behave in face of one another. For as it says in Matthew 23:10 - only one is our Teacher: The LORD Himself. This is merely for show, lest Ye be asking for how blinded by my own shit I am.

But does my Faith not require me to be steadfast? And how might I cut through the Bullcrap if all that I have are my words?

Snakes! I tell You. So is it I who now waves with the hand and summons poisonous snakes among You? So let me assume this image, that of the Poisonous Snake that sours Your day to day. Let me "betray my own words" and cast doubt into You, as to whom ye might call friends.
The the LORD not come to bring us a sword of Division. Are we not told that first and foremost we are to follow Him? So, what is a Friend then, if they cannot travel alongside You? False? Misguided? I cannot tell You that - and hence, I stand by what I just told You.

So, who are they? Who is he? Those who I would call "the Enemy"? For yes, Scripture tells us to Love our Enemy, but it also speaks of False Prophets. And of THE False Prophet, it says in Revelation 19:20, will be cast into a Sea of Burning Brimstone. And so how would one endeavor to rescue someone like that? To "Fix him"? And how should one tread, not to get Fixed by them, or "Get Got" as it says? Have ye endeavored to try? And what Lands would You pull them to?
The Land of Friendship, where we all sing happily the songs of Freedom as the chains tighten all across the Lands?

Oh misery! Oh perilous duty! "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves" (Matthew 7:15) I say, and what I get in return is scorn? But then why would I step foot on this path - this presumptuous path - to assume that there might yet be Salvation for them? Do I no longer trust the Word of my own God? It certainly is a testament to my willingness to Transgress against that which is TOLD to be the Word of God. For what wisdom is there in Blindly trusting the words of a Book You know not the veracity of?

I Live my Faith. Even if so only in the humblest of ways. Yet only if one is willing to step beyond the boundaries of the familiar, that someone might find the truths thereof, whatever they might be? I dare say cautiously. Yes, ponder what You have. Are You fulfilled? Do You have what You seek? Are You satisfied with the answers brought forth? I wonder. Yet many have been led astray by grand promises of the great unknown ...

Or so I hear.

So once again I ask: How am I to cut through the Bullcrap if all I have are my Words?

The silly, easy yet perfect answer is: To have More! To start with God Himself. But how can I share HIM, if You cannot see Him? How might HE speak to You, if You don't want to hear it? Might I acquire a boon that would transcend the sphere of the Personal? Wouldn't that be a sign of Them that speak of HIM?

Yes, narrow is the door that leads to Salvation. And narrow I am too, in deed. "Just a Boy" - like Atreyu, except, not a boy, yet unassuming. But if that were all that I had, how could I reach You? And how could it testify of the Grand Plan of the LORD? Would I have lived lifetimes without a reward? Certainly. But lifetimes without Growth? To be locked away in solitude, rechanting the ever same phrases, to always remain where I started? Certainly not!

Unless that beginning is with the LORD! Unless that Solitude is on the solid Rock! Unless the Phrases are those of Wisdom that speak to the day and age that I'm in!

And so it is! Be wary, I guess. But foremost, be mindful of the Truth - I'd say. I'd say, such is good advice. Enough to build Your life upon? Certainly! Though the true reward might be lost until You may access Your treasury in Heaven. "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." - Matthew 6:19-21

And this is it. "My Sauce". "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." - James 1:5. But sure, what good now is Sauce alone?

What other truths I hold, what ideas I contemplate and what beliefs I carry - that is yet a different story.

And so it is, the Zealous Truth behind my Zealous words. Amen
