The end of an Era!

I'm moving out of my current habitat tomorrow in the morning ... and I'll probably have no internet for a bit. I also have been writing on some other thing, but ... my head is pretty much ... not really set up for doing this kind of thing anymore. And to be honest ... I long for the day when I can leave it all behind, basically.

I mean, there's just sooo much shiiiit yet to go through. Stuff I usually forget about ... probably for the better - since at some point I'm just stacking one thing upon the other; ...

I mean, I wanted to talk a bit about digitalization. It's a German topic ... fine ... as every now and then you get to hear people sigh over how backward a lot of our beaurocracy still is. Or schools. And everything. And maybe I missed out on writing about it - because I was too tired one day - and a lot doesn't make sense without that having been said. So, what I'm saying is, that if all our options we have to modernize/digitalize "our shit", especially when it comes to sensitive shit, is Microsoft, Apple and Co. - it's I don't think such a bad idea to wait out until we can actually do digital modernization ... properly.

But sure. Microsoft does specialize, I suppose, like Apple, in offering attractive Software solutions for ... everyone and everything. And in that regard it should just be 'best practice' in a way to dip into that while shit really isn't about to change anytime soon. But that in my opinion still just isn't enough. I mean ... the Ukraine Army relying on Starlink to do its operations ... just for Elon to then - on a whim - be like: "Well, nope!" - that's just beyond fucked up. Though I'm not much of a fan of Starlink in the first place.

But that's the issue. But sure, when I say that this stuff should be open source, everyone starts comparing everything to Linux, coming to the conclusion that it kind of sucks - although, it really kind of doesn't and also it's not really what I mean in the first place.

Open Source at this point is more of a ... word-hack to say ... |having a fucking idea of what it is that we're working with|. But I guess there's no point for me to ramble about it until I have some concrete solutions and I don't really plan on working on any of that shit until there's a demand that I WANT to recognize as such - and unitl then, well, the world really ... most likely ... is just going to continue being basically a rotating turd in space. And sure, if you will you can blame me for withholding my genious - or alternatively that I don't have any - but really ... whatever. I wrote what I wrote.

And this is really one of the more pivotal opinions I hold on the matter of "big tech". And most opinions I hold about it can somehow be extrapolated from there. And all of that is also a microcosm of what plagues us at large. If none of that can get fixed, shit will just come crumbling down - and the only way to fix it ... is ... well ... I guess the simplest teerms were: "To wake The Fuck up!".

And since a this point most of what I would write boils down to that just in a different coating - I guess that makes a good ending for now. Peace!
